The station is operated by volunteers from the community.
Hubbards Radio Society was formed in March 2010, with the mandate to establish a community radio station. We operated as a part time special event station broadcasting with 50 watts at 94.3 on the FM band to cover events in the summers of 2010 2011 and 2012. We applied to the CRTC in September of 2013 for a full time community radio station. Our application was approved on May 28th 2014 to operate a community radio station at 88.7 FM with a power of 1080 watts. The station began on air testing Sept 1st 2015 and was officially launched on Feb 8th, 2016.
